Eagan Building Group is proud to serve as a Pacesetter Company for this year’s Franklin County Area United Way Campaign. Hard Hats and Can Stacks brings together clients, partners, subcontractors, vendors, and community members to raise funds, collect food for local pantries, and build a stronger Franklin County — one can at a time. All canned goods are donated to local food pantries after the event.
How To Participate
Enter a team of up to 4 members for $150. You get an event T-shirt for each team member, assigned build space, team signage, and eligibility for judged award and People’s Choice voting. Maximum of 38 teams. Deadline to register is October 2, 2026. *Each team is responsible for providing their own canned goods*
Three awards will be handed out: Best Structural Design, awarded to the structure with the strongest design, creativity, and construction approach; Most Cans Donated, awarded to the team that contributes the highest number of eligible canned goods; and the People’s Choice Award, awarded to the team that receives the most votes from event attendees.
Sponsorship packages from $150 to $1,000 with logo placement on event signage, and website, recognition on social media, and recognition during the event.

Donate silent auction items (gift cards, baskets, experiences, services) or canned goods. All proceeds benefit the Eagan Building Group’s United Way Campaign and local food pantries.

Attendees can purchase tickets on-site to cast their People’s Choice vote, with every dollar raised going to the Franklin County Area United Way Campaign.
Tickets are $1 each and one ticket equals one vote, with bundle pricing available: a $5 donation earns 6 tickets and a $10 donation earns 12 tickets.
Your votes help crown a winner and raise more funds.
More Than a Build
Structures must be built on-site during the official build window. All canned goods are donated to local food pantries after the event. Full competition rules will be provided upon registration.
Grab dinner while you watch the builds come together. Local food trucks will be on-site throughout the evening.

A family-friendly trunk-or-treat in the parking lot with fun for kids of all ages. Bring the whole family.

Competition Rules
Build Requirements
- Build on-site only. No pre-build structures
- Max size: 8' wide x 8' deep x 5' tall
- Minimum 100 cans; 200-500 recommended. Each team responsible for providing their own cans
- Canned goods must be sealed, safe, and suitable for donation
- Support materials allowed: cardboard, tape, foam board, zip ties
- Team size: up to 4 people (one designated team captain)
Not Allowed
- Glue, paint, or fasteners applied directly to cans
- Expired, opened, or severly dented cans
- Glass containers or perishable food items
- Electrical components without prior approval
- Materials that create tipping or collapse hazards
- Anything that damages food or makes it unsuitable for donation
Sponsorship Opportunities
Sponsorships, build team entry, individual donations, and silent auction donations are each separate opportunities to support the campaign. Companies and individuals may participate in more than one way
